影片根据Solomon Northup在1853年所著传记小说《黑奴十二年》（Twelve Years a Slave）改编。该作来自Solomon Northup亲身经历，他本是一个生活在纽约的自由的黑人，受过教育且已婚。随后遇到两个人，他们许诺在华盛顿帮他找一份工作，当Northup到了华盛顿才发现自己被诱拐绑架了，从此开始了他的奴隶生涯。经历多年磨难才依靠一个好心的加拿大人帮忙送信回家，经过一场诉讼，他重获自由。。1999年除夕夜，堀上笃志（堂本刚饰）却心情灰暗，求职失败，在家里又和父亲起了严重的冲突，他跑到电影院看一部叫（失物森林）的老电影。突然间，胸口一阵激痛，笃志因突发心脏病而倒地而死。死去的笃志竟穿越回高中时代，在确认周遭的一切后，他意识到自己的时代来临，利用已知的未来的知识，笃志靠赌马赚取大把金钱，拯救了自杀的朋友，考取了一流的名校，一转成为举世瞩目的天才青年。又到1999年除夕，笃志的心脏病在同一时刻再次发作，当他醒来的时候，再次回到1995年，开始了重复的人生。。A group of young pilots in a remote region of the Canadian wilderness begin to hear strange reports over their radios about planes crashing, cars stalling and a deadly plague which has gripped the planet. It becomes clear that earth is in the midst of an invasion. The group of pilots decide to barracade themselves in a cabin deep in the woods and wait for their impending doom.。
