The series tells the story of an extended family and four young people who are drawn into the world of ska and two-tone music, which exploded from the grassroots of Coventry and Birmingham in the late 70s and early 80s, uniting black, white, and Asian youths. It is expected to open in 1981 at a moment of huge social tensions and unrest. Against this backdrop, it tells the story...。少女小兰寄住在舅舅家，终日被噩梦般的过去缠绕着：布满全身依稀可辩的伤痕、父亲被杀时血腥恐怖的场景……但她只有这些支离破碎的印象，真相成了她脑中的盲点。 寄人篱下的生活并不如意。再加上神秘网友的追踪，她的生活波澜四起、危机重重。终于，她独自一人搭上了一群年轻人的车，其中也有她的表妹，一行人开进了晦涩阴森的南雨镇。住进小兰家的老屋—风筝作坊。在那里，他们每个人都意外的找到了象征自己的风筝，而座尘封已久的老宅似乎也有人的痕迹。在年轻人的吵闹分合中，恐怖、血腥如影随形，而小兰那噩梦般的记忆也在一点点复苏……。
