And so begins the journey of these two lost soles who are destined to ...。兴盛村村长王福田受县蔬菜公司误导，带领全村人种了大量的土豆。眼看到了年底还是销不出去。王村长到县上要钱，搅了姑爷老六的赌局，并帮他还了赌债。老六大为感动，发誓戒赌。面对堆积如山的土豆，王村长和他的帮手想尽办法也无济于事。外出打工的村长女儿和老六遇到一位海外归国的老者有意帮助兴盛村兴建淀粉厂，难题终于解决了。除夕夜，王村长张灯结彩，大家共同为新生活干杯。。
