ムラタコウジの同名コミックをもとにした本作は、2021年4月クールに放送されたドラマ「高嶺のハナさん」の続編。前作では、バリキャリOLだが恋愛レベルは小学生並みの“ハナ”こと高嶺華が､歳下のダメ社員・弱木強に恋するさまが描かれた。「高嶺のハナさん2」ではハナと弱木が超ピュアな付き合いを始めるところから展開していく。。玛利亚，是一名17岁的卡齐格尔族(Kaqchikel)玛雅人少女，她的父母经营一家咖啡种植场，就在一座活火山的山脚下。玛利亚将嫁给一位在种植园工作的工作，然而她渴望去发现外面的世界，渴望在山的那一边她从未到过甚至也无法想象的神秘的世界。为此，玛利亚引诱了一名咖啡采收工人，想让他带自己到美国过。然而对方却丢下她一个人逃跑了。从这时，玛利亚开始用一双新的眼睛来发现她的家园以及文化。。The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。
