随着农业机械化的普及，牛已经退出了农耕史。可是，独身老人牛万春还养着两头牛，也是全村最后两头牛了。他一直舍不得卖掉，他是不甘心自己和牛一样没有了用武之地。他在哀婉叹息的同时，却又无可奈何。。他们将在节目中和特别嘉宾一起在充满危险的未知世界中，执行“为了生存必须坚持”这一唯一的任务展开不可预测的冒险。Set in the 1950s in the fictional village of Kembleford, the series follows Roman Catholic priest Father Brown who has a knack for solving crimes. He is assisted by parish secretary Bridgette McCarthy and is often a source of frustration for the local police.。
