本故事讲述的是一个44路公交公司的徐三丁师傅与售票员崔胖，在一次工作行事途中，由于疲劳，产生幻觉，急刹车把车上的乘客，美娜，刺死在公交车内，崔胖怕承担责任怂恿徐三丁不要报案。。Howard Tyler (Frank Lovejoy) is a family man, living in California, who can't seem to get by financially. He meets up with a small-time, but charismatic, hood Jerry Slocum (Lloyd Bridges). Soon, Slocum convinces Tyler to participate in gas station robberies to get by. Later, they kidnap a wealthy man in hopes of getting a huge ransom. Things go wrong when the man is murdered by...。
