重启剧《夏威夷神探 Magnum P.I.》风格上类似《天堂执法者 Hawaii Five-0》，背景同样设在夏威夷，不过主角们是私家侦探，老版在1980-1988年播出。新版由Peter Lenkov及Eric Guggenheim负责剧本﹑林诣彬执导，在这版本主角仍然是四人帮，不过不像旧版都是男性，而是改为三男一女；剧情讲述Thomas Magnum（Jay Hernandez饰）是获授勋的前海豹突击队成员，从阿富汗回国后他把自己的军事技能投放在当私家侦探上，而他的拍档包括前老兵Theodore “TC” Calvin及Orville “Rick” Wright，以及被除名的前MI6特工Juliet Higgins，他们一同调查各种奇怪的案件。 Perdita Weeks饰演Juliet Higgins，是作家Robin Masters的夏威夷...。The host of an investigative news show is convinced by the CIA that the friends he has invited to a weekend in the country are engaged in a conspiracy that threatens national security in this adaptation of the Robert Ludlum novel.。
