故事开始于2003年，当时波斯湾战争甫结束，就在伊拉克南方，被媒体发掘还有少数存活的战俘。 远在另一端，在收音机前的有位库德族老妇人，听到新闻后，心感到一阵悸动。因为她参战的儿子，到现在还没有回来。因此，老妇人凭着一股坚持的信念，她毅然带着年幼孙子，启程出发找寻失联已久的儿子。 她对于年幼的孙子，逼不得已存活在穷苦的环境，感到心疼。但只要能找到父亲，一家人还是可以团圆。老妇人仍坚信儿子还好好存活于世界上某个地方。 旅途中，他们看到乱世中形形色色的人们，穿梭了各种形貌的悲苦、困顿。当然，亦不乏朝圣者脸容满溢希望光辉的正面激励。因此，心境再怎么百转千回，她都不愿放弃寻亲的希望，哪怕只是一丝丝的可能性，都包藏无穷的契机。。“For two years starting in 2020, this work has been forming along the edges of disquiet and premonition, in fragments and intensities, through wandering and not-staying.
