故事发生在90年代末某个中国内陆小城市的武术学校中，在校长的高压管理下，有一个格格不入的少年张萃山。他对武术毫无兴趣，却对学习文化知识表现了很强的天分。可因为身在武校，他这种尴尬的属性，让他生活过的非常凄惨。他屡次想要逃离，却都以失败告终。直到有一天，一个年轻的文化课老师的到来，打破了武校里的平衡。。Based on real events, the story follows a father and son (Offerman and Tremblay) who identify as Sovereign Citizens, a group of anti-government extremists, as they venture across the country and find themselves in a standoff with a chief of police (Dennis Quaid) that sets off an intense manhunt with tragic consequences.。年轻人无意中被衰鬼上身，引出了黑白两道之间的恩怨，一场杀戮迫在眉睫……。
